so yesterday I showed you the first 4 layouts I scrapped with the Sandlot kit last weekend.

I had those 4 pages scrapped and was pretty proud of myself before I realized that my kit was still looking like new. If I was really willing to kill that kit I had to stop using little bits of paper (my usual way of scrapping) and take action. Make something radical like scrapping some layouts with patterned paper as background. Yes, I was really up to use the entire kit LOL

And that’s what I did:

Moments

I printed a black and white photo because I think they look great paired with a patterned paper background. Layout is a lift from Thumbs up by Stephanie Bryan.

The next layout, featuring a birthday photo, is all about color. I mixed the Sandlot kit and the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Confetti Collection.

And them I had a lightbulb moment. Truth is, that I had no idea abour what to do with that pencils paper but them the school photos came to my mind and that was. I finally got them scrapped and in the album and the paper found its destiny. And we lived happily ever after.

Sorry for all the blurred faces, I swear the kids all have eyes and noses and mounths but they are not kids of mine so I prefer to not show them here.

The paper with pencils was gone but I still had some of this with the numbers. It does also fits perfectly to my subject.

But that was not the end, no, I still had papers and photos to scrap LOL

For the paper below I just did what everyone would do. And it looks cool, I could stamp some cardstock and do it again. I really like it.

This place is so beautiful and just half an hour from here. It is the World heritage Castle Brühl. This was the first time we visited it but for sure not the last one. I plan to take everyone who visits us there in the future. A picture perfect castle.

And that was, folks. The end of Sandlot. I scrapped 11 layouts with it before I called it gone and put the rest letters and embellishments together with my non-kit supplies.

Next victim is the July kit by Dani Peuss that arrived on my doorsteps yesterday. It is fun and colorful and just the way I like. I see lots of pages with it :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

I should have called this blog post “killing Sandlot” but it would look very bad in the search machines LOL

The truth is: I killed a kit last weekend. My “victim” was the Studio Calico Sandlot Kit. Ok, I might still have some letters and little bits but the kit is gone. Kit killing makes me happy :)

Today I’ll show you how it all started, and the first 4 layouts I scrapped with it. Yes, the first 4. There are the last 4 and the previous 4 as well. That was a great kit.

This is how it all started, as you see in the supplies list, I still wasn’t in the “kill that kit” mode.

Sandlot scrapbooking kit, Crate Paper Craft Market Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, Hero Arts Kelly Purkey – Clear Stamps 3×4″ – Take Note, Studio Calico Essentials Enamel Dots GOLD, Crate – Craft Market – 12×12″ Chipboard

The next  layout was Our little guy or F is for firefighter:

F is for fireman

I did the firefighter badge matching to the Dress up birthday printables, they were a challenge gift on the boy’s 8th birthday party. Other supplies are the Studio Calico Printshop Wood Veneer Stars and the Crate Paper frames. Not sure to which pack they are from, they were the last I had and were on my mixed embellishments box.

Them I got the idea of scrapping with that kit until it was finished aka kill the kit and did the layout below:

Badge is available on my Etsy and Dawanda stores. Stamp is Hero Arts Kelly Purkey – Clear Stamps 3×4″ – Take Note and the little chipboard guy is Crate Paper Boy’s Rule Collection.

The next layout is a birthday page and it has a bunny and glitter in it :) I love that paper with numbers, you will see it again in the next layouts 😉

And that’s from me for today.

I could not resist and right after I finished the Flamingo Mini Kit (you can download it for free here), I started a Flamingo Birthday Party and Baby Shower set.

I might say I am pretty smitten with it :)

Flamingo Birthday Party and Baby Shower Printables

There is a matching invitation´as well. As always, you can change the text to your heart’s desire :)

There are three banners in this set: a happy birthday banner, a “It’s a girl” banner and a welcome banner. It means that you can use these printables for a birthday party and also for a baby shower.

I took the day out yesterday for some NSD scrap.

First I have to tell you that I am addicted to NSD challenges :) I’ve been scrapping like a mad woman every NSD since 2006 I think. I used to join the fun at Two Peas in a Bucket (it was so fun to collect little badges that were all added to the profile!) but since it closed I played the Studio Calico challenges this year.

I had a blast scrapping and have 6 new layouts to share today. I decided to get the 2012 album from the big girl and fill the gaps. It was fun! Love to see my big girl that small :)

I started with the challenge #1, a moodboard challenge. Love the colors and the inspiration images!

Challenge #2 is a recipe challenge: “Create a project using 5 specific products (recipes): tag, wood veneer, patterned papers, washi, or a journaling card

Not as easy as it sounds!

The challenge #4 was to use an instagram picture. I happily agreed!

Challenge #3 is a sketch challenge! You know I love sketches!!!

For the challenge #8, go bold, I choice to go with a bold title. I also inverted the sketch from the challenge #3.

Fot the challenge #10, keep it simple, I scrapped the Lego City layout:
