December Daily 2009 – Part 2

December Daily 2009

If you follow my work and this blog you know I re-do layouts. This time I decided to re-do a mini album 🙂

I did a December Daily 2009 in 2009 but I do not like how it turned out. The stories are so precious, and so are the pictures, and I decided they deserve a beautiful home, so… time for a re-do.

I used the December Daily Kit I designed for my Etsy and Dawanda stores this year. I love the All is bright collection from My Minds Eye so much and I could not wait until the end of December to have an album ready (I’ll be using this same kit for my 2012 December Daily).

This post is divided in two parts because it is really photo heavy. You can see the part one right here.

Here comes the part two, enjoy!

…………………………..

On Dec 18th my son got very ill (he has chronic bronchitis and asthma but we did not knew it that time). It was a hard night and our very first time in a emergency room in the hospital. He got back on his feet pretty quickly. We had lots of friends coming over during the holidays, here is my BFF De and her family who arrived on Dec 19th.

Lot of snow that night. The kids loved it and we were so glad to be home and safe.

December Daily 2009

The backyard and an invitation to the Christmas party in the kindergarden.

December Daily 2009

While the big girl was in the party, Dad played Lego with the little kids.

December Daily 2009

An ornament the big girl crafted in the kindergarden and an envelope with a letter from Santa. The cute clothespin in a leftover from my Studio Calico Kit.

Baking cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. On a side note, I love those thickers 🙂

Christmas morning: The tree with the gifts and as a little touch I added badge from the kit showing Santa 🙂 The next page is a journaling card from my Christmas Time printables.

Bits and pieces from Dec 25th & 26th. The little paper badge comes with the Ten Things Journaling Cards and badges set available on my Etsy store. I really love this background paper!

More visits, this time our friend Sven an his fiance.

We got a new Christmas DVD for the kids, in fact our first Barbie DVD 🙂 On Dec 30th the little girl could not wait to try the baguette, so cute!
December Daily 2009

Other bunch of friends arrived and we celebrated the arrival of 2010 together twice: at 20:00 with the kids and 0:00 for our own 😉
December Daily 2009

For the last page of this album I choice a picture of everybody on new year’s morning. I love the Amy Tangerine Hey There Stamp Set. The number card is from the Storyteller Album Kit.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my pages and that you feel inspired to put your own little December daily album together. Only a picture and a story a day, it does not need to be much more than this, and you will have a book to treasure forever.

Now, let’s wait for December 2012 and a new December Daily adventure to start tomorrow.

December Daily 2009 – Part 1

…………………………………………..

I decided to make this project pretty simple and straight forward as it is a re-do and I already had all the pictures and text I wanted to add to it. I used the two bind rings that comes with the kit and embellished the cover with my favorite thickers, a little tag and a handmade fabric flower (also included in the Christmas kit).
December Daily 2009

The first page is about my wishes for the upcoming Season:
December Daily 2009

On the back, a picture of my little bears and the tree. It was the first time in my life I had a real Christmas tree. The year before we were moving from Spain to Germany and prior to that we lived in Spain (and I lived in Brazil), where was just to warm for a real Christmas tree (we had an artificial one). It was quite the big thing for me. I still have mixed feelings about a real Christmas tree: I love them but I can’t accept that it is going to die in my living room 🙁

December Daily 2009

I added our Christmas card from that year to the Airmail envelope as the picture in it was taken on that same day. For the card I used the Toy Box Christmas digital kit available on my store and at Two Peas in a Bucket.

December Daily 2009

I used that same digital kit to create these cure finger dolls for the kids on December 2nd.

Everyday life stories: getting ready to go grocery shop with the kids.
December Daily 2009

The story of Dec. 6th, Nikolaus Day…

…and the big girl helping her brother to “write” a letter to Santa.
December Daily 2009

The sweet little baby and her vintage Care Bear. Both so cute 🙂
 December Daily 2009

These two were in that phase of doing the same things, the little girl was ony 16 months old but she did not care, she was with her big brother all the time. On the right side a drawing that the big girl gave me. It is called Mommy and the flower. She also cut it all around 😉
December Daily 2009

Below I used that page with a graphic paper background to add lot of journaling, from Dec 10th…
December Daily 2009

…to Dec 17th. On the right side an envelope with some hidden journaling from Dec. 16th.

December Daily 2009

The little girl and her favorite spot: the table top. She could not walk but she managed to climb the chair and them to the table taking everything with her, toys, bottle, you name it. And there she stayed, happy as can be.

December Daily 2009

Pieces from the Christmas party in the Kindergarden, my sweet big girl was just ready to go. On the right side is a letter and an invitation from Kindergarden as well
December Daily 2009

And here one really big happening, the arrival of our new furniture. Oh happy day!

Now to the part 2 of this album here.
