If you follow my work and this blog you know I re-do layouts. This time I decided to re-do a mini album
I did a December Daily 2009 in 2009 but I do not like how it turned out. The stories are so precious, and so are the pictures, and I decided they deserve a beautiful home, so… time for a re-do.
I used the December Daily Album I designed for my Etsy and Dawanda stores this year. I love the All is bright collection from My Minds Eye so much and I could not wait until the end of December to have an album ready (I’ll be using this same kit for my 2012 December Daily).
This post is divided in two parts because it is really photo heavy. You can see the part two right here.
Here comes the part one, enjoy!
I decided to make this project pretty simple and straight forward as it is a re-do and I already had all the pictures and text I wanted to add to it. I used the two bind rings that comes with the kit and embellished the cover with my favorite thickers, a little tag and a handmade fabric flower (also included in the Christmas kit).
On the back, a picture of my little bears and the tree. It was the first time in my life I had a real Christmas tree. The year before we were moving from Spain to Germany and prior to that we lived in Spain (and I lived in Brazil), where was just to warm for a real Christmas tree (we had an artificial one). It was quite the big thing for me. I still have mixed feelings about a real Christmas tree: I love them but I can’t accept that it is going to die in my living room
I added our Christmas card from that year to the Airmail envelope as the picture in it was taken on that same day. For the card I used the Toy Box Christmas digital kit available on my store and at Two Peas in a Bucket.
The story of Dec. 6th, Nikolaus Day…
These two were in that phase of doing the same things, the little girl was ony 16 months old but she did not care, she was with her big brother all the time. On the right side a drawing that the big girl gave me. It is called Mommy and the flower. She also cut it all around
…to Dec 17th. On the right side an envelope with some hidden journaling from Dec. 16th.
The little girl and her favorite spot: the table top. She could not walk but she managed to climb the chair and them to the table taking everything with her, toys, bottle, you name it. And there she stayed, happy as can be.
Now to the part 2 of this album here.
