I’ve always been a planner user. Using a notebook to write the most important tasks for that day and a little resume of what happened has been my routine for the past 10+ years.
It is not a secret that I love paper, so for me is pretty natural to have a paper planner and write on it. A bit of decoration does not hurt either.
For 2017 I purchased a Travellers Notebook Weekly Grid + Memo Diary. The set comes with 2 notebooks (January to June / July to December). It has a dated weakly calendar on the left side and a blank page for notes on the right side.

It is a perfect notebook and system for me. The space to write is just right and I love the blank page for extra notes, a quote, and some play.
But… back in January, all Leuchtturm 1917 weekly planners for 2017 were for sale (50% off!) on a local store and I simply had to purchase one. I decided to use it for work. The layout of this planner is pretty much the same of the TN (7 days on the left side and a blank page on the right side) but the size is A5. It has an elastic closure band and it is overall beautiful.
(The gray notebook is the planner and the emerald is a plain notebook with lined pages that I use for lists.)
Well, last week I realized that only one planner is better for my work flow and to not forget appointments. My work schedule is not specific and relates strongly to the kids schedules so it makes no sense to have everything separated. Sure, I have deadlines and projects with a specific flow but I do not need a separated planner for it.
For this reason, I am back to using only my TN as a place for all my appointments, most important tasks for the day and for the week, and also to write what happened on each given day so I can use this information to fill my Project Life Album. I love to work this way. It feels good to be able to plan and work with a whole week of appointments in one page. I can rely on it.
I’ll be using the Leuchtturm Weekly Planner as an art journal and already started covering the pages that I already used for planning during the last 5 weeks with some collages.
My goal is to make a collage + quotes/lyrics/some text every week. I hope it brings me back to art journaling – something I love but fail at doing on regular basis.
If you want to see how I work on this journal and also on my lists journal, be sure to follow me on Instagram. That’s the place where I post photos from the lastest pages and projects.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a lovely week!
