I’ve been working on finish my boy’s album for 2014 for a couple of weeks already, and today I can finally share the last layouts I scraped TODAY and a walkthrough the album with you.
This album has 46 layouts (on average 3.88 layouts per month), a school book (“my first handwritten words”) and lots of activity sheets from school (first grade).
This is how it looks like:
I do not have a rule or a receipt about how many layouts to do in a year or about what you “must” keep from each kid but I can tell for sure that you do not need to keep everything (a selection of pages from school is enough) and that you do not need to scrap everything. I really only make a layout if I have a story to tell. For this reason you will find lots of vacation related layouts (because seeing new places is a very cool thing!) and holiday related layouts, because my kids absolutely LOVE holidays. And all this scrapbook thing is about them, for them.
We went to France during the Summer break in 2014. There are 9 layouts about these short 2 weeks in the album.
Christmas is our favorite holiday, the kids love birthdays and the celebration of Jesus birth + getting all the gifts is simply the best for them. Can’t beat the Winter break in school and two weeks at home, as a family.
I do love it too!
